extended medical leave

The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a federal law that provides eligible employees up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons, based on eligibility. If you need to care for a family member injured during active military duty, you may take up to 26 weeks.

To qualify, Outfitters must be employed by our company for at least 12 months and worked at least 1,250 hours in the previous 12 months.

Bass Pro Medical Leave

Outfitters who have at least 90 days of employment with our company, who do not qualify for FMLA, or the duration of time exceeds the FMLA entitlement, may be eligible for Bass Pro Medical Leave. Bass Pro Shops may grant a leave of absence without pay for continuous compelling personal medical reasons for up to six months.

The six-month maximum duration includes any time taken under the Family Medical Leave Act. Outfitters who need a leave of absence before 90 days of employment should determine if ADA leave or accommodation is appropriate.
