Congratulations! New baby, new adventures and new responsibilities!

The birth or adoption of your child is a benefit “Qualifying Life Event.” You will need to add your newborn to your Bass Pro Shops Medical Plan within 30 days of the date of birth or adoption.*

BENEFITS CHANGES TO MAKE

  • Add your newborn to your Bass Pro Shops Medical Plan. You must add your child as a dependent, even if you are already enrolled in “Family” coverage.
  • If you are not enrolled in a Bass Pro Shops Medical Plan, you may choose to do so based on the birth of your child.
  • Need more Life Insurance? You might consider adding coverage for yourself and your child.  Life Insurance options for children include:
    • Child Basic Life – $2,500 benefit per child at NO COST to you, but you must select the plan and add your child
    • Child Supplemental Life – $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000 per child if you are enrolled in Outfitter Supplemental Life
    • Based on your Medical Plan you may want to add or start a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or a Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • This is a good time to review your beneficiary designations. 

Your changes are effective on the date of the birth of your child.

Documentation is required.
Premiums are collected as of the event date.

READY TO MAKE YOUR CHANGES?

All changes are made in Workday. Click on the Benefits worklet, select Change, Benefits and then “Birth or Adoption.”
