If you have had a Qualifying Life Event, you can make changes to your Benefits elections, even if it’s during the calendar year.
Marriage and the adoption of step-children
Birth, adoption or legal guardianship of a child
For yourself or a dependent
Loss of a spouse or dependent
Change in marital status
If you don’t see your life event listed here, please contact the Benefits team at 417-873-4271 or email HRBenefits@basspro.com, to determine if you are allowed to change your benefits outside of the annual Open Enrollment period.
Changes must be made within 30 days of the event and you will need to provide supporting documentation, such as a marriage certificate or loss of coverage document. All must contain the name of the person and the event (effective) date.
Any premiums for the benefits you elect will be deducted from your paycheck as of the effective date of your life event.
