Gain or Loss of Spouse or Dependent Coverage

When any of the following employment-related events happen to your spouse or dependents, you can make changes to your Bass Pro Shops benefit elections within 30 days of the date of the event.*  

BENEFIT CHANGES

Here is a list of benefit changes you might consider based upon your current enrollment situation:

  • Add your spouse to your planIf your spouse is losing employer coverage, you may choose to add your spouse and/or dependents to your medical plan, dental plan or other plans where spousal coverage is offered.
  • Join your spouse’s planIf your spouse has new coverage available, you may decide to drop your Bass Pro coverage and add yourself to your spouse’s plan.
  • Remove your spouse from your planIf your spouse has gained coverage with a new employer, you may choose to remove your spouse and/or dependents from your plan.
  • Enroll in coverageIf you are not enrolled in a Bass Pro Shops plan, you might decide to enroll yourself and/or your spouse at this time. 

Your changes are effective on the date of the gain or loss of coverage.

Documentation is required.
Premiums are collected as of the event date.

All changes are made in Workday in the Benefits worklet, Change, Benefits, and select “Gain or Loss of Other Coverage.” 

*After the 30-day life event window closes, your next opportunity to make changes to your benefits will be the annual Open Enrollment period or a subsequent life event.
